At the beginning of your training contract you will attend a two week induction programme at our London office. The induction will be an opportunity to get to know your fellow trainees, familiarise yourself with office procedures and IT systems and learn how your training will be organised. You will have an in depth session on knowledge management and research and will also cover some core elements of the Professional Skills Course. As trainees you must attend and successfully complete the Professional Skills Course as prescribed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. All our PSC courses are run in-house and the Trainee Resources team will ensure you complete the relevant courses. In addition to the formal training you will receive, you will also attend workshops and seminars arranged by the legal groups. These are designed to enhance your professional development and understanding of contemporary legal issues and procedures.

During each seat you will complete department specific knowledge sets: this is a record of the experience and skills you have gained during your seat and they are a useful resource when discussing your progress with your supervisor.
